The Chewton Planning Application misses the September 8th Planning Committee meeting at Mendip District Council. It also looks unlikely to meet the September 29th meeting. Rumours suggest that the hunt is confident to get the application approved, but they have another battle with another army of local residents on their hands. They were confident about Priddy!

The hounds and horses settle at their new ‘temporary’ accommodation in Priddy and the village watches and waits. Temporary apparently means ‘up to TWELVE MONTHS’. The prevailing wind blows out towards the main road and away from many residents. How the new residents, temporary or otherwise, are received by the ‘new neighbours’ remains to be seen. The fate of the flesh house is currently unclear, although as usual there are many rumours.
