Stables Application Withdrawn
The planning application for commercial stables at UBF has been withdrawn. Although an application for a smaller stables and a more domestic arrangement is rumoured, this has not yet been submitted. There were approximately 19 objections to the larger stable development, despite the fact that CANINE did not object or encourage its supporters to object. We wait with interest to see the next move and the fate of UBF. Watch this space.

The planning application for stables at UBF remains live. MFH have been granted ‘temporary planning permission’ with conditions, to remain at Mountain Ash, Priddy Road, Green Ore, which is actually only a mile up the road from UBF and just 3 metres outside the Priddy Parish Boundary. However, it is not next to the species rich SSSi and the precious Priddy Mineries and is not downwind for noise and smells for the majority of the local residents, most of whom can still hear the hounds regularly. |

Happy New Year to all the CANINE supporters and visitors to this site.
Just before Christmas we learned that the application for UBF has nothing to do with the hunt and that the fact that the plans have MFH written all over them is an error. This was also the reason that there was not a representative of MFH at the Priddy Parish Council meeting on Dec 22nd.
On January 6th 2011 we see the headlines we have been hoping for
“Hunt Scraps its plans to build new kennels”
Is this the Priddy application?

An extra meeting of Priddy Parish Council was held on December 22nd 2010. The main purpose was to discuss and for the village councillors to take a vote on the Underbarrow Farm application. The hunt was invited to the meeting to air its point of view. The meeting attracted a number of speakers from the public who mostly offered objections to the proposal. There was no representative from the hunt, nor any statement or information offered from them. None of the councillors declared an interest of any sort in the matter and after some discussion they voted.
