Mendip Farmers' Hunt plan to move to Underbarrow Farm in Priddy

The Mendip Farmers’ Hunt has acquired Underbarrow Farm and its 17 acres. 

• They plan to build kennels for 60 foxhounds

• Stables for 6 horses 

• A Fleshhouse

• Possibly an Incinerator

Underbarrow farm is situated next to many residential houses, caving accommodation, the Priddy Mineries and the old St. Cuthbert's Leadworks, which is now a Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSi).

The whole of Priddy is in the Mendip Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The villagers of Priddy and people who enjoy visiting Priddy have set up CANINE to investigate the full implications of this proposal and the potential impact on the local community, the surrounding countryside and the wildlife.
